Join us for a powerful church service as we reflect on the scripture from Mark 12:38-44, where widows are highlighted as significant figures in both society and the Kingdom of God. In this passage, Jesus denounces the religious leaders who exploit widows, and yet he commends the humble widow who gives all she has, demonstrating a deep faith and radical generosity.
Guest Speaker: We are blessed to welcome Dr. Roger Keller as our guest speaker for today’s service. Dr. Keller will bring insight and wisdom on the themes of generosity, faith, and the heart of true service that God honors.
Worship & Music Team:
Our Worship and Music Team will also share with us about their journey and how they serve the congregation. Learn more about their hearts for worship and how they lead us each week in glorifying God through music.
Important Note:
There will be no communion during today’s service. We invite you to still come with an open heart and participate fully in the worship and message.
Scripture: Mark 12:38-44
In today's reading, we see how Jesus not only challenges the hypocrisy of the scribes but also lifts up the poor widow who gives everything she has to God. Her offering is not about wealth but about sacrifice, faith, and trust in God's provision. Just like the widow of Zarephath who shared her last meal with Elijah, today’s message challenges us to consider how we live out our faith through our actions, generosity, and service to others.
