Youth 

FLY (Faith Lutheran Youth) is a place for students in grades 7–12 to grow in faith, friendship, and service. On the first and third Sundays of each month, we gather for meaningful discussions, games, devotions, and spend time connecting with one another. FLY focuses on building our relationships with God and each other through Scripture, prayer, and real-life conversations. 8th Grade attends the first Sunday of each month.

Throughout the year, special events, service projects, retreats, and fun outings are planned for youth to grow in faith and that strengthen our community. One of the highlights of our year is the annual mission trip, where youth put their faith into action by serving others, deepening their understanding of God’s love, and experiencing the joy of working together as a team.

This information is kept safe and secure in our database. 

Your student’s safety is our top priority. Here’s what we do to ensure a secure and welcoming environment:

• Background-Checks: All staff and volunteers complete a thorough background check before working with youth.
• Emergency Preparedness: Fire escape plans and other emergency procedures are in place and reviewed regularly.
• Health & Medical Awareness: Student allergies and medical needs are shared with leaders to ensure proper care.
• Media Permissions: Photos or videos of students are only published after a completed media release form.
• CPR-Certified Staff: A CPR-certified staff member is on duty during all youth gatherings.

We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where students can grow in faith, build relationships, and have fun.

We welcome caring, responsible, and enthusiastic individuals to support our youth activities.
Ways to help:

• Volunteer as a small group leader or teaching assistant
• Assist with special events (retreats, service projects, mission trip support, holiday programs)
• Lead an activity, game, or serve as a discussion facilitator

Flexible commitment: You can volunteer for a single event, a short series, or as a regular weekly leader—it’s completely flexible to fit your schedule.
Safety: All volunteers working with youth complete a background check and follow our safety policies.

We offer a variety of fun, faith-filled, and service-oriented experiences for youth, including:

• Service Projects – Students choose projects addressing food insecurity, social justice, homeless ministries, and other community needs.
• Free Little Food Pantry – Youth help maintain and monitor the church food pantry located by the front church entrance. They keep it organized and stocked for those in need.
• Fun & Fellowship – Shared meals, games, group activities, and social events that build friendships and foster connection.
