Social Concerns & Green Team

OVERVIEW

The Social Concerns & Green Team seeks to raise awareness of environmental and social issues while encouraging actions that care for God’s creation and promote the well-being, dignity, and understanding of all people. Through special worship opportunities, educational efforts, community connections, and activities that support environmental stewardship and cultural awareness, the team helps our congregation live out its call to love and serve our neighbors. All members of the congregation and those interested in making a difference are welcome to participate. The team brings together people with diverse gifts, experiences, and passions to support initiatives that foster care, compassion, and responsibility for our world.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We gather with humility and gratitude on the ancestral lands and waters of the Anishinaabe, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, and Stockbridge-Munsee peoples. Central Wisconsin remains home to Indigenous persons—resilient friends and neighbors—who continue to work, worship, and create better futures for all.
As a community rooted in faith and stewardship, we commit to listening, learning, and walking gently on this earth—honoring not only the past but also our shared responsibility to the future. Through conservation, reverence for creation, and ongoing relationship with Indigenous neighbors, we strive to be caretakers of these sacred lands and waters, in the spirit of healing and reciprocity.
