Welcome to worship on this celebration of the Ascension of Our Lord! Today we remember Christ’s return to heaven and the promise that the Holy Spirit will empower us to be his witnesses throughout the earth. Just as the disciples were told not to keep looking to the skies, we are reminded that Jesus is present among us—in the Word, in the meal, and in our mission. Come, Holy Spirit, and enliven our faith!

We are honored to welcome a special guest preacher today: Bishop Martin Halom of the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin. Bishop Halom began his term in 2023 and brings a passion for congregational vitality, collaborative ministry, and proclaiming the good news of Jesus in everyday life. We are grateful for his leadership and presence in worship with us today.
