FLY is off to a great start, and there is a lot to look forward to! We are excited to continue creating opportunities for students to follow Jesus, build friendships, and make a difference in our community and beyond.

Help Plan Our November FLY Gathering!
What would you like to do for FLY in November? We will be staying in at Faith Lutheran Church, ordering some food, and spending time together, but we'd love to hear your ideas!
We're looking for students who would like to help plan the evening, including:
Have an idea? Let me know! You can share your suggestions with me directly. You don't have to have the whole evening planned out—we can work together to make it happen.
FLY is your youth group, and your ideas matter! Let's make our November gathering something everyone can look forward to.

We are beginning preparations for our November 7 Italian Spaghetti Dinner and are looking for students, families, and volunteers who can lend a hand.

Our popular Dough for Dough fundraiser is returning, and we're getting ready for another round of delicious cookie dough!
Order collection begins November 1, so start spreading the word! Students are encouraged to reach out to friends, family, and neighbors to help us make this fundraiser a success.

- November 30: Cookie Dough Making Night at Auburndale High School at 5:30 PM.
- December 6: Cookie dough pickup and delivery following worship service.
Every order makes a difference and helps support FLY youth ministry and the opportunities we provide for our students. Let's get the word out and make this year's Dough for Dough fundraiser a success!
Mission Trip - 2027
Denver, Colorado — Here We Come!
Our destination for the 2027 FLY Mission Trip is Denver, Colorado! We're excited to begin planning a trip focused on serving others, growing in faith, and making a difference together.
Mission Trip Interest Deadline: October 31
If you are interested in joining us, please email me by October 31 to let me know. You do not need to have every detail figured out yet. We are gathering initial interest to help determine group size, adult leadership needs, and next steps for planning.
Even if you're still working out whether you can participate, please let me know if you're interested!

United Way Make a Difference Day | October 24 | Quilt Loading
On Saturday, October 24, FLY will be gathering to help with two important service projects at Faith.

We will be helping the Piece Corps load their truck with quilts. The more hands we have, the quicker we can get the job done!

FLY 2027 Mission Trip — Denver, CO | October 31
The destination has been chosen! After collecting input from our youth and families, Denver, Colorado will be the destination for our 2027 FLY Mission Trip.
Now that we know where we’re going, our next step is determining who will be joining us and beginning the planning process for the trip.
October 31 — First Commitment Deadline
October 31 is our first commitment deadline for the 2027 Mission Trip.
If you are a youth or adult who is interested in participating, please let me know by October 31. At this point, you are not being asked to make every final commitment or payment—you are simply letting us know that you are interested in going so we can include you in our initial participant count.
This first count is important because it will help us determine:
We will also be looking for adults who are interested in serving as leaders for the 2027 Mission Trip.
If you are interested in being an adult leader, please let me know by October 31 as well. Once we have an initial list of interested adults, we will have an individual conversation with each person to talk through the trip, expectations, responsibilities, and what serving as a leader will look like.
The goal is to make sure we have the right number of adult leaders in place and that everyone understands what will be involved before we move further into the planning process.

Once we have our initial participant and adult leader numbers, we will be able to continue working through the details of the trip, including registration, transportation, lodging, fundraising, and other planning needs.
