GLOW/RISE Weekly Update - 10.19.26
What a GREAT weekend we had at our annual Trunk or Treat! We estimate that around 550 people joined us for an evening of decorated trunks, games, candy, and community fun!
Events like this are only possible because of the time, energy, and dedication of our students and volunteers. We are especially grateful to our GLOW and RISE students who stepped up to help make this event a success. Thank you for sharing your time and helping us share God's love with our community!
Looking ahead, we're excited to welcome our students back for our GLOW Kids Halloween Party on Saturday, October 31! Students can join us before heading out to trick-or-treat for an afternoon of games, food, and fun with their Faith Lutheran friends. Please register through our Events Page so we can plan accordingly! Or CLICK HERE

Offering & Generosity
We've heard that some families would like to learn more about Paisley Paws and why we chose to support this organization through our Sunday School offerings.
The Paisley Paws Charitable Veterinary Foundation helps pets, their families, and veterinary professionals facing difficult circumstances.
Pets are important members of our families, but when they become seriously ill or injured, veterinary care can be expensive. Some families face heartbreaking decisions when they cannot afford the care their pets need. Paisley Paws works to provide hope and support during these difficult times.
Through our Sunday School offerings, we can help support:
This fall, we're learning that sharing God's love includes caring for all of God's creation—including the animals that are part of our families and the people who care for them.
How can your student participate?
Students can bring their offerings each week and place them in the offering container during music time or in their classroom. 100% of our Sunday School offerings for this project will support Paisley Paws.
Together, we can help pets receive needed care and bring hope to families in difficult situations.
Help Vets. Help Pets. Save a Life. Lend a Paw!

Family Spotlight Sunday
Our Family Spotlight Sundays continue to be a wonderful way for families to serve together during worship! We've received positive feedback from members who appreciate seeing families involved in the life of our church.
Families can participate by greeting, ushering, assisting with communion, or reading Scripture. These opportunities help children see that they have an important place in our church community and that serving others is one way we live out our faith.
Interested but have questions? I'd be happy to talk with you and help your family find a role that feels comfortable.

Family Spotlight Sunday
We are continuing our Family Spotlight Sundays this year!
Over the past couple of years, we have invited our students and their classrooms to participate in worship together. This year, we are building on that idea by inviting families to serve together during Sunday worship!
And don't let the word spotlight worry you! Even though we're calling it Family Spotlight, you won't be put on the spot or expected to stand in front of everyone. Our goal is simply to create opportunities for families to participate in worship, serve together, and continue building connections within our church family.
Families can participate in several different ways, including:
I am happy to participate alongside your family, walk you through any of the roles, or answer questions to help everyone feel comfortable. You don't have to know exactly what to do ahead of time!
We have two families done so far, and I would love to get more families involved. Please let me know when your family would like to participate, or feel free to sign up on the clipboard on Sundays.
Thank you for considering being part of this! I look forward to helping more of our families find ways to serve together at Faith.
