FLY has a busy few weeks ahead! From planning our 2027 mission trip to kicking off our next fundraiser and preparing for our Italian Spaghetti Dinner, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Mission Trip 2027 | First Deadline Approaching!
Denver, Colorado — Driven by Faith!
Our first deadline for the 2027 FLY Mission Trip is coming up next week!
October 31 — Initial Interest Deadline
If you're interested in joining us for our trip to Denver, Colorado, please let Justin know by October 31.
You do not need to have all the details figured out or be completely certain you can attend. Right now, we're gathering an initial count to help us plan for the number of students, adult leaders, and next steps.

Our Dough for Dough cookie fundraiser is almost here! Order collection begins Sunday, November 1, and we need everyone's help spreading the word.

Italian Spaghetti Dinner | November 7 | 5–7 PM
Our Italian Spaghetti Dinner is coming up quickly, and we need volunteers to help make the evening a success!
We're looking for students, families, and volunteers who can help with:

- Ask coworkers and others in the community if they'd like to order.
- Help us spread the word and make this fundraiser a success!

- November 30: Cookie Dough Making Night at Auburndale High School, 5:30–7:30 PM.
- December 6: Cookie dough pickup and delivery following worship.

All students participating in FLY need to complete the registration form so we have up-to-date contact information and can share important announcements with students and families.
Important for 8th Grade Confirmation Students: If you registered for GLOW and are also participating in FLY, you must register for both programs. GLOW registration does not automatically register you for FLY.

United Way Make a Difference Day | October 24 | Quilt Loading
On Saturday, October 24, FLY will be gathering to help with two important service projects at Faith.

We will be helping the Piece Corps load their truck with quilts. The more hands we have, the quicker we can get the job done!

FLY 2027 Mission Trip — Denver, CO | October 31
The destination has been chosen! After collecting input from our youth and families, Denver, Colorado will be the destination for our 2027 FLY Mission Trip.
Now that we know where we’re going, our next step is determining who will be joining us and beginning the planning process for the trip.
October 31 — First Commitment Deadline
October 31 is our first commitment deadline for the 2027 Mission Trip.
If you are a youth or adult who is interested in participating, please let me know by October 31. At this point, you are not being asked to make every final commitment or payment—you are simply letting us know that you are interested in going so we can include you in our initial participant count.
This first count is important because it will help us determine:
We will also be looking for adults who are interested in serving as leaders for the 2027 Mission Trip.

Once we have an initial list of interested adults, we will have an individual conversation with each person to talk through the trip, expectations, responsibilities, and what serving as a leader will look like.
The goal is to make sure we have the right number of adult leaders in place and that everyone understands what will be involved before we move further into the planning process.
What Happens Next?
Once we have our initial participant and adult leader numbers, we will be able to continue working through the details of the trip, including registration, transportation, lodging, fundraising, and other planning needs.

Our Dough for Dough Holiday Cookie Dough Fundraiser is almost here! This is a great opportunity for FLY students and families to support our youth ministry while spreading some holiday cheer throughout our community.
We will be selling Christmas cut-out cookie dough in festive decorative tins, made by our youth and volunteers. This is an easy way for friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to get a head start on their holiday baking while supporting FLY!

We encourage all FLY students and families to participate by helping spread the word and collecting orders!
Every order helps support FLY youth activities, faith formation, service opportunities, and our upcoming 2027 mission trip to Denver, Colorado.
Thank you for helping make this fundraiser a success! With everyone's participation, we can spread some Christmas cheer while creating meaningful opportunities for our youth to follow Jesus, build friendships, and make a difference.
