GLOW/RISE Weekly Update | November 2, 2026
Welcome to November! As we move into a new month, our GLOW and RISE students continue learning, growing, and finding ways to share God's love with others. We have several things happening throughout the month, including Sunday classes, confirmation, Christmas program preparations, and opportunities for our families to participate in worship together.
Here's what's coming up at Faith Lutheran Church!

GLOW & RISE | Shared Announcements
Offering & Generosity | Paisley Paws
Our GLOW and RISE students are learning that sharing God's love includes caring for all of God's creation, including the animals that are part of our families.
This fall, our Sunday School offerings are supporting the Paisley Paws Charitable Veterinary Foundation, which helps pets receive needed veterinary care when their families face financial hardship.
We will continue collecting offerings for Paisley Paws through Sunday, December 20. Students are encouraged to bring an offering each week and place it in the collection container during music time or in their classroom.
Every gift makes a difference! 100% of our Sunday School offerings will go directly to support Paisley Paws.
Help Vets. Help Pets. Save a Life. Lend a Paw!

Family Spotlight Sunday | Thank You, Families!
A big thank-you to all the families who have signed up and participated in our Family Spotlight Sundays!
We had two more families join us this past Sunday, and everything went wonderfully! It's been great seeing parents and children serving alongside one another and sharing their gifts with our congregation.
I've also heard some wonderful feedback from congregation members about how much they enjoy seeing our families participate, getting to know everyone better, and watching our younger generations become involved in the life of our church.
These opportunities are about more than helping with Sunday worship. They're about building connections, creating a sense of belonging, and showing our children that they have an important place in our church family.
There is still room for more families to participate! If you've been thinking about signing up but aren't quite sure where to start, please reach out. I'd be happy to answer questions, walk you through the different opportunities, and help find a role that feels comfortable for your family.
You don't need previous experience. We'll help you feel prepared!

We also understand that sports schedules can make arrival difficult. If your student will be arriving late, that's okay—just let us know ahead of time.

Family Spotlight Sunday
We are continuing our Family Spotlight Sundays this year!
Over the past couple of years, we have invited our students and their classrooms to participate in worship together. This year, we are building on that idea by inviting families to serve together during Sunday worship!
And don't let the word spotlight worry you! Even though we're calling it Family Spotlight, you won't be put on the spot or expected to stand in front of everyone. Our goal is simply to create opportunities for families to participate in worship, serve together, and continue building connections within our church family.
Families can participate in several different ways, including:
I am happy to participate alongside your family, walk you through any of the roles, or answer questions to help everyone feel comfortable. You don't have to know exactly what to do ahead of time!
We have two families done so far, and I would love to get more families involved. Please let me know when your family would like to participate, or feel free to sign up on the clipboard on Sundays.
Thank you for considering being part of this! I look forward to helping more of our families find ways to serve together at Faith.
